  • Anderson County Library
    “ReposiStory is a new oral history initiative sponsored by the library designed to digitally record and preserve interviews with Anderson County residents. Once completed, the interviews will be made available for patrons to listen to. The library received a Library Services and Technology Act grant award of over $9,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the project, administered through the SC State Library.”

  • Oconee County Library  “ Feb 2016: The grant, (SC Humanities Council)  in the amount of  $4,626.00, will enable the Oconee County Public Library and the Oconee Heritage Center to present a series of nine lectures in the spring and summer of 2016 on the theme of “The Land Before the Waters.” The speaker series will address the significant changes to Oconee County that occurred with the creation of Lakes Hartwell, Keowee, and Jocassee. Including a variety of historians, authors, professors, and even a diver, the series will complement an ongoing oral history project fostered by the library and The Oconee Heritage Center called “Voices of Oconee.””
