The South Carolina State Library is offering Multilingual Collection Development grants, available to public libraries in South Carolina. An application for funding, if accepted, will result in a grant award providing reimbursement to the County for qualifying expenditures up to $2,000.
These grants will help ensure that speakers of languages other than English have access to new library materials in their first languages.
Grant funding must be used to purchase the following types of library materials:
Applications have closed as of October 29, 2021. Project recipient announcements were made November 2021.
This Project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grants through Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and administered by the South Carolina State Library (SCSL).
